We are back at Ban de la Roche this weekend doing maintenance. The girls are taking a well-earned rest on the terrace after weeding the driveway! A group of 6 Polish colleagues from the construction industry has been staying at Le Ban de la Roche. They had come for work meetings. with a bit of skiing thrown in at the end. They could not decide between skiing at La Clusaz, which is just 35 minutes ...

We get to see some pretty spectacular sunsets (and storms) throughout the year from le Ban de la Roche. But the Winter ones are my favourites. The lake is glassy calm, without the hustle and bustle of the Summer boats.

Never one to be idle, Mark spent his spare time over Christmas making a Bike Workshop. So we now have a fully-equipped bike workshop in the basement, with direct external lockable access from the side of the house. This is my favourite trail run from Ban de la Roche. You start off at the house, turn right out of the drive, run along the road for a couple of hundred metres, before taking the trail in the woods marked 'Cascade d'Angon'.
